About the event

Make and Mingle is the brain child of a 12 year old who loves to craft, loves to share crafts and wants to create an opportunity for offline informal friendship and chat. We want to bring together young creatives to craft, socialise and relax with likeminded peers in a safe and inspiring space. We welcome all young people aged 11-18 and there are no prerequisites to join - just an interest in being creative.

Bring along a project you’re working on or start something new. We have an art and crafts tutor on hand to give you some tips and guidance. As this is a new group, we ask you to please bring along any craft kits you’ve been gifted but never started or the basic materials you need to work on your project. We will have some basic bits to borrow and hope to build our materials stash going forwards! If you have anything you’d like to donate or swap with other members of the group, we’d love this too.

In the future, the group could include activities such as community projects, fundraising events, taught art and craft workshops, art exhibitions or craft sales. Sessions will be decided by the young people and what they are interested in doing. The first sessions will be run as a craft and social group.

Places are currently limited while we gauge interest so please book in advance by buying your ticket. This helps us to plan cool activities, buy supplies where we can and pay our lovely staff.

The group is supervised by two adults with backgrounds in education and years of experience working with young people. We are fully DBS checked and trained in safeguarding children. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

All parents/carers of attendees must complete and return our Google Docs form below before your child attends sessions. By submitting this you agree to abide by our terms and conditions.

We look forward to welcoming you to an exciting new creative group!
